Edinburgh Festival Fringe

Edinburgh Festival Fringe Trip

In August 2026, FHU Theatre is taking the stage at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe—the world’s largest performing arts festival—and you can be part of it!Each year, the Fringe transforms the city of Edinburgh, Scotland into a vibrant celebration of creativity, featuring over 55,000 performances across 3,500 shows. And next time, you could be performing in the heart of it all.

FHU Theatre is teaming up with New York Times best-selling author and illustrator Brad Montague to create an original play, The Fabulist, written specifically for this festival. As part of the cast or crew, you’ll help bring this brand-new work to life on an international stage.

A group of about 20 young adults pose and smile together on a cobblestone street, with trees, buildings, and parked cars visible in the background. They appear happy and are dressed casually.
Edinburgh Castle at dusk, with the fortress walls lit up against a dark blue sky; people are seated in the foreground to watch an event near the castle gates.

But the adventure doesn’t stop there. You’ll also explore Edinburgh’s historic streets, tour the Scottish countryside, watch world-class plays and musicals, and spend a day volunteering with the East Kilbride Church near Glasgow.

If you’re a creative, curious, and passionate student ready to grow as an artist and experience something unforgettable, the Fringe is calling. Join us—and take your story to the world.

“I left a part of me in Scotland, so some of me will live and love there forever, but I have so much more to give and to grow and to know. I have left Scotland a better person and a better theatre artist than I was when I came in”  – 2023 student traveler
