The assigned personnel in Academic Success and Records coordinate advising of incoming students. A freshman adviser helps the student through the course selection process, monitors grades and class attendance, and encourages academic progress. Assigned advisors are a resource for questions concerning time management, testing, tutoring, and general academic policies. Once a major is declared a student is assigned an advisor within the discipline of choice.
