With the swirl of his motley cape, a grand storyteller takes centre stage to again spin tales that amuse and delight. But one young audience member isn’t taken in. Midway through his performance, little Millie walks onto the stage to confront “the man who tells lies.” And if that isn’t enough, Millie jumps into the Fabulist’ magic story box in search of the truth behind his tales. Together they learn that neither cynicism nor falsehood can stop a true story. Created in partnership with Brad and Kristi Montague, The Fabulist is FHU Theatre’s entry into the Edinburgh Festival Fringe which we’ll perform in Scotland in August of 2026. Directed by R. Cliff Thompson with designs by Kristi Montague.
